Abstract

The disproportionate size of our frontal lobes is one of the major features of our nervous system that differentiates us from non-human primates, and so any article that proposes to review our current understanding of them will be of interest to psychologists. Improvements in functional imaging (both PET and MRI), neurophysiology, and molecular biology in particular, have led to a huge growth in the published work on the frontal lobes over the past decade. Thus, we have attempted to draw together the work of different researchers into this review on the frontal lobes.
