About the Journal

Letras (e-ISSN 2683-7897 | ISSN 0326-3363) was founded in 1981 by the Department of Literature of the School of Philosophy and Literature at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. It is published semiannually (June and December) and features research papers in the fields of philology, literary theory and criticism, linguistics, and other disciplines related to discourse analysis, with a particular emphasis on Hispanic literatures.

The journal has a Scientific Advisory Board composed of renowned international experts, which serves in a consultative capacity. This board contributes by suggesting thematic focuses for upcoming issues, recommending peer reviewers for various topics, assisting with the initial reading of submitted articles, and advising the Editorial Board in the event of any conflicts that may arise.

In addition, there is an Editorial Board made up of professors holding the highest academic rank, who lead courses within the Department of Literature and whose expertise aligns with the journal's scope. Their role is to assess the scientific soundness of all submissions prior to their being sent out for peer review and to ensure stylistic correctness.

All contributions are accepted free of charge for the author.
