New historical documentation found at Archivo Arzobispal de Cusco (Perú) and Archivo General de Indias allows us to expand the known data about the Augustinian friar Esteban Ponce de León (composer and chapelmaster of the Cusco Cathedral during the first half of 18th century) and to make a reconstruction of his life and career
