En torno a la naturaleza y legitimidades del franquismo : un ensayo de sistematización

Resumo

Franco’s dictatorship is still object of impassioned confrontation, not only between its supporters and detractors, but also between historians, as recently confi rmed due to the polemical statements made about it in some words of the Diccionario Biográfi co Español published by the Royal Academy of History. But far from this controversy, which enjoys broad media coverage, there are rigorous monographs about the aforementioned regime and a basic consensus about the nature and legitimacies of it. Nevertheless, the systematization task of these works has been barely undertaken, so that the essential part of the knowledge could be preserved among the prolixity of the scientifi c production. Because of its structure and intention, this article intends to be an effort in this sense, gathering a good proportion of the dispersed existing literature to generate an organized and integrated proposal.
