This essay is drawn from two texts by the contemporary philosopher Byung-Chul Han: The Transparency Society (2013) and Infocracy. Digitalization and the crisis of democracy (2022). The author retrieves some of the South Korean philosopher's theses on transparency and democracy and uses them as lenses or perspectives to reflect on a topic that Han does not comment on corruption prevention practices by states and companies.
